1. CKEditor Upgrade

The CKEditor used in Mautic has been upgraded from version 4 to version 5. Users who have customized CKEditor should back up their code as changes might be lost

2. Custom Reply Email Address

In Mautic 5, users can now assign a custom reply-to email address, different from the sender’s email. This adds a new layer of support options for transactional emails.

3. Click Report Enhancements

Mautic 5 introduces three new columns in email reports, offering marketers insights into link click performance. The columns include click-through count, click-through rate, and click-to-open rate.

4. Bitly URL Shortener Plugin

Version 5 of Mautic replaces the way URLs used to be shortened. You now need to install and enable the Mautic by Bitly plugin available in GitHub to have all your email links automatically shortened by Bitly.

5. Google Analytics 4 Support

The Google Analytics JS code has been updated to use the new gtag code that supports GA4.

In addition to these features, Mautic 5 is now compatible with Symphony 5 and PHP 8.1. Swift Mailer has also been replaced with Symfony Mailer, which does not require cron jobs for sending messages.
