Microsoft Outlook Lite has released a new version that comes with vernacular language and SMS support for India Users.

Vernacular Language Support

This feature makes it possible for users to read, compose, and dictate emails in various regional languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, and Gujarati. The app also offers automatic translation of emails from regional languages to English.

SMS Integration

One of the notable additions to Microsoft Outlook Lite latest version is SMS support for Indian users. Users will now be able to communicate using SMS messages that will be categorized into transactions, promotions, and personal.

Microsoft also indicated that there are future plans to add language translation in SMS. This feature will be useful, particularly to users who receive SMS in more than one language.

Microsoft Outlook Lite is a lightweight version of Microsoft Outlook that is targeted at users with low internet connections and low-end Android devices. The app currently has 5 million downloads on Google Play.
